Join Belmond as Communications Manager, playing a vital role in implementing all communications activities, supporting and executing the defined strategy, and measuring effective messaging and communication strategies.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Develop and execute property communication plans supporting global & divisional goals.
* Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members and community leaders.
* Proactively pitch journalists for editorials and press visits to increase brand awareness.
* Organize press trips and coordinate visits.
* Develop press materials (press releases, news updates) and respond to media inquiries.
* Support the production and creation of property events, developing relationships with new partners and curating attendee lists.
* Collaborate with Social Media Managers to align communication plans across platforms.
* Support growth of the brand advocate community through social media and communication efforts.
* Organize KOL trips and participation in key property events.
* Analyze and report media coverage, events, and initiatives, sharing successes.
What You Bring:
* 5+ years of experience in public relations or communications.
* Understanding of the luxury hospitality market.
* Ability to foster collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders.
* Creative storytelling skills to deliver media results.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
* Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Passion for excellence, high energy, and enthusiasm.
* Fluent in Portuguese and English.
* Ability to travel.
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field; master’s or professional certification preferred.
* Eligibility to work in Portugal.
