We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our distributed web engineering team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of multiple components and contributing to the long-term vision of our Bio Sites offering.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop new features into our Squarespace Bio Sites offering
* Take a lead role with other engineers to provide a rock solid platform and contribute to team processes
* Collaborate with teammates, product, design, analytics, and customer operations to understand why we build the features we do
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design practices. You will also need to have experience using relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and proficiency in Java or other object-oriented language application development.
