About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organised and proactive
Personal Assistant
to provide day-to-day support to an English-speaking company Chairman who divides his time between Portugal, the UK and China. The position is based primarily in
Evoramonte, Alentejo
, and requires excellent communication skills in
both English and Portuguese
.
The role is well-suited to a professional who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and managing a variety of administrative, household and international coordination tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily correspondence (email, letters, messages) in English and Portuguese
* Pay invoices and manage basic administrative payments in Portugal and the UK
* Coordinate payments to local household staff (housekeeper, gardener, caretaker)
* Conduct online research and prepare summaries or recommendations
* Liaise in English with the company's China office when needed
* Communicate with family members based in the UK, Spain and Australia
* Assist with day-to-day personal and administrative matters
* Maintain organised records, files and simple spreadsheets
* Support occasional travel, property-related tasks, and general planning
Requirements
* Fluency in English and Portuguese
(spoken and written)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
* Proficiency with computers, including:
* Microsoft Word & Excel
* Apple hardware (Mac, iPhone, iPad)
* Online tools and platforms (ChatGPT familiarity is a plus)
* Valid driving licence
* University degree preferred
* Prior experience as a PA, administrative assistant or executive assistant is an advantage
