The ideal candidate for this role is a highly analytical professional with exceptional financial planning and forecasting skills. They will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to the business management team, enabling them to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Financial Reports: Assist in preparing quarterly Management Reporting processes, ensuring timely submission and high-quality deliverables.
* Financial Analysis: Analyze actual performance of projects, vessels, shore bases, and departments, reforecasting yearly performance as needed.
* Data Loading and Review: Load data into reporting tools, reviewing submissions at project, vessel, departmental, and consolidated levels.
* Budget Preparation: Collaborate with department managers and business controllers to prepare budgets, challenging deviations from approved plans.
* Financial Section Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of financial sections for the Board of Management (MOR) quarterly reports.
* Ad Hoc Analysis: Engage in active ad hoc analysis, including simulations, business cases, KPIs, expense analyses by currency, and travel-related tasks.
* P&L Interco Reconciliation: Work on P&L interco reconciliations for consolidation purposes.
* Three-Year Plan Process: Participate in the 3-year plan process (budget cycle).
* Internal Control Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal control (ICOFR) and strive for continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Finance/Economics or relevant postgraduate degree and qualification in finance
* 2-5 years of experience in an international audit firm and/or in a reporting position in an international environment
* IFRS knowledge
* Fluency in English, with additional languages being an asset
* Proficiency in IT tools, especially Business Object, SAP, and Excel
