Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer - Contract Role

Role Objectives:
* To ensure that building services systems are properly installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with relevant requirements.
* To manage the commissioning process, validate its results, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
* To provide consultative advice on commissioning and performance requirements, strategies, programs, scopes of work, and related matters.
* To conduct measurements, surveys, and technical inspections to determine system performance.
Responsibilities:
* To act safely at all times, complying with the company's health and safety policy and procedures.
* To work diligently, efficiently, and professionally at all times.
* To ensure technical compliance and high-quality production of deliverables.
* To work closely with main contractors' teams to develop commissioning strategies and processes aligned with project objectives.
* To adopt the company's project and internal management systems.
* To maintain awareness of project finances and control expenditure.
* To attend meetings as required.
* To prepare reports containing technical, commercial, and program aspects for both internal and client audiences.
* To develop project-specific commissioning management/validation documents and procedures.
* To comment technically on drawings, manuals, and technical submittals.
* To develop project-specific method statements, test scripts, and related materials.
* To be aware of and report internally on project scope changes.
* To work with other team members to evaluate progress, difficulties, and costs.
* To undertake hands-on commissioning work as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
* An engineering degree and/or LEED accreditation.
* A strong controls background is highly desirable.
* 4 years of industry experience dealing with mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
Required Qualifications:
* Must be willing to travel to site-based locations as reasonably based on HDR needs.
* Must be an experienced engineer, either a licensed PE or a field technician with excellent understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, the T&B process, etc.
* Must have good computer skills and effective typing skills.
* Understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project software.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with the organization of design documents, preparation of multidiscipline designs, and delivery of design & construction services.
* Strong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operations.
* Understanding of project accounting and financial management tools.
* Ability to prioritize and organize work; ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
