Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Specialist to join our team and help us deliver exceptional events that drive engagement and business growth.
As an Events Specialist at Makro, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the event are managed effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed event plans, including schedules, budgets, and task lists .
* Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to ensure message consistency and maximize promotional impact.
* Oversee event logistics, including transportation, accommodation, catering, audiovisual equipment, and decoration .
* Ensure all technical and operational requirements are met and that the event runs smoothly.
* Coordinate culinary demonstrations, workshops, and tastings during events.
* Represent makro at events and manage relationships with stakeholders.
* Coordinate with chefs, sommeliers, and other event organizing companies to ensure successful collaboration.
* Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost optimization and profitability.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure the best financial terms.
* Assess the success of events by collecting participant feedback and analyzing performance metrics.
* Prepare detailed post-event reports, identifying strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations for future events.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
* Proven experience in organizing and managing events.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proactive approach and ability to solve problems under pressure.
* Availability to travel and work outside normal hours as needed.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Interest and knowledge in the gastronomic sector
