Technical Project Manager (TPM) in Cybersecurity you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering cybersecurity initiatives that protect the organization's digital assets, infrastructure, and data.
This role bridges the gap between technical cybersecurity teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with security and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead end management of cybersecurity projects including scope definition, planning, execution, and delivery.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
Coordinate with functional teams (security operations, IT, compliance, engineering, vendors, etc.)
Track project performance using KPIs and report progress to senior management.
Cybersecurity Focus
Manage implementation of security tools and solutions (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IAM, vulnerability management, firewalls, DLP, etc.).
Oversee risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
Ensure adherence to cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO *****, CIS Controls, etc.).
Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business units.
Translate technical requirements into actionable business outcomes.
Communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies clearly to technical stakeholders.
Governance and Reporting
Prepare level reports and dashboards for cybersecurity initiatives.
MUST HAVE SKILLS
Experience: 4+ years of project management experience
AI, Cybersecurity or IT related projects
Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification
BONUS: Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or CISA
Familiarity with network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, identity management, and data protection.
Understanding of DevSecOps, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management processes.
