Skills/Qualifications
• Active experience in monitoring production trials with animals, especially sheep;
• Laboratory work experience that demonstrates appropriate skills for the functions to be performed;
• Experience in data processing and statistical analysis skills;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent results orientation and ability to work as a team;
• It will be a factor of total preference, under equal conditions, residence in the Alentejo region, and immediate availability.
The functions will focus on tasks within the "CapotaCircularFeed" project, which aims to develop and implement innovative, practical, and effective solutions for utilizing almond hulls in animal feed. The goal is to preserve their nutritional value and safety while ensuring high animal productivity and product quality at the lowest cost. The specific functions to be carried out, according to the activities to be developed by CEBAL within the scope of the "CapotaCircularFeed" project, are as follows:
• Collection and processing of almond hull samples for physical and chemical characterization;
• Participation in production trials with sheep, including the monitoring of productive parameters and the evaluation of product quality;
• Analytical determinations in various matrices, such as quantification of phenolic compounds, vitamins, and antioxidant activity, as well as the assessment of total lipid content and fatty acid composition;
• Systematic bibliographic research;
• Results organization and statistical treatment.
• Preparation of reports and results dissemination material.
Specific Requirements
Candidates who cumulatively meet the following requirements are admitted:
• Master's degree in the field of Animal Science, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields;
• Minimum of five years of professional experience;
• Light vehicle driving license (Category B);
• Good knowledge of the English language, and mandatory knowledge of the Portuguese language.

Additional Information
Hiring will be carried out through an Uncertain Term Contract, under private law, to be concluded in accordance with the Labor Code, paragraph h) of paragraph 2 of article 140, and in accordance with the applicable legislation. The gross monthly remuneration is €1,705.73. Human resources are also entitled to food allowances, for each day of actual work, and holiday and Christmas allowances, in accordance with current legislation.

• Master's degree in the field of Animal Science, Agricultural Sciences, or related areas;
• Minimum of five years of professional experience;
• Light vehicle driving license (Category B);
• Good knowledge of the English language, and mandatory knowledge of the Portuguese language.
Selection process
The selection criteria will be as follows, with the respective valuation:
• Curriculum assessment (evaluation of the Curriculum vitae, as specified in the admission requirements) - 50%;
• Degree of suitability of the candidate's curriculum to the functions to be performed - 50%.
The jury may consider it necessary to carry out an individual interview with the best placed candidates. In this context, the selection criteria and respective valuation will be as follows:
• Curriculum assessment (evaluation of the Curriculum vitae, as specified in the admission requirements) - 50%;
• Degree of suitability of the candidate's curriculum to the functions to be performed - 40%;
In case that none of the candidates meets the required profile, the jury reserves the right to close the recruitment process without selecting a candidate.
