Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization. This role works within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise information systems. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of security technologies, and the ability to perform detailed investigations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor security alerts, logs, and events from SIEM across corporate IT, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), inspection platforms, and cloud services.
* Support vulnerability management efforts by analyzing scan results and assisting with remediation tracking.
* Development, configuration and tuning of Cybersecurity platforms (XDR, Email Security platform, Identity Protection, ZTNA, etc) to ensure optimal correlation and detection capabilities
* Perform triage, analysis, and escalation of potential threats, incidents, or anomalies.
* Investigate security incidents, document findings, and support incident response and remediation activities.
* Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify anomalies in operational environments, including connected test instruments and inspection systems.
* Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to enhance security controls in lab and field environments while maintaining compliance with TIC regulatory standards.
* Stay informed about the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3–4 years of experience in security operations, incident response, or similar role.
* Knowledge of common security technologies such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, ZTNA and vulnerability scanners.
* Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework, malware behaviour, and threat intelligence concepts.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Familiarity with OT/IoT environments or industrial network concepts is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Industry certifications such as OCSP, Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC, or similar.
* Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
* Hands-on experience in cloud environments (Azure, GCP) and their security features.
* Certifications in technologies such as Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, ZSCALER or Azure Sentinel.
* Experience with digital forensics or log analysis tools
