Key Business Analyst Role:
A business analyst plays a pivotal role in understanding customer and business needs, translating them into valuable product evolutions.
* The ideal candidate will have the ability to deeply understand customer and business needs to translate them into feasible product evolutions.
* Facilitating workshops and interviews with stakeholders is a key responsibility, gathering, analyzing, and clarifying business requirements.
* The business analyst will be responsible for translating requirements into conceptual models aligned with the existing application architecture.
* Collaboration with other product team members is essential to refine requirements into user stories, estimate effort, and ensure sprint delivery.
* Supporting end users during UAT, conducting demo sessions, delivering training, and providing clear documentation are also critical responsibilities.
* Managing production issues and suggesting functional and process improvements are key performance indicators.
* Continuously contributing to knowledge sharing and process improvement within the team is vital.
* Active participation in Agile ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups is expected.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Fluency in Portuguese and English is necessary.
* Experience working on Portuguese projects for a significant period is required.
* Strong soft skills – confident communicators who can present themselves effectively – are essential.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to simplify complex challenges, are necessary.
* Solid experience in functional/business analysis and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) is required.
* Proficiency in process modeling and documentation tools such as UML, BPMN, Sparx EA, Confluence, Draw.io, Miro is essential.
* Hands-on experience with backlog/sprint management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is necessary.
* Good knowledge of relational databases and ability to write simple SQL queries is required.
* Residency in Portugal – Citizenship or Work Visa/Residence Card – is necessary.
