We are looking for a hands-on
Cybersecurity Cloud Engineer
(based in Lisbon or Maia) to support and improve the security posture of our Microsoft Azure environments. This role is technical and practical, focused on cloud security fundamentals, identity, architecture and risk mitigation, in a context with a limited security tooling stack. We value critical thinking, problem-solving and the ability to build security by design, rather than dependence on multiple security products.
You will be responsible for:
Cloud Security
* Support the security of Azure cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS)
* Assess existing cloud architectures and identify technical security risks
* Contribute to the design of secure cloud architectures (networking, isolation, access control)
* Work closely with Cloud, Infrastructure and DevOps teams
Identity & Access Management
* Support identity and access security in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
* Contribute to the implementation of:
* Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
* Conditional Access
* Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and least privilege
* Review authentication events and access patterns
Security Monitoring & Incident Support
* Support the analysis of security incidents related to cloud and identity
* Work with available logs and telemetry (cloud, identity, application)
* Collaborate with internal teams or external SOC partners
* Help improve detection and visibility over time
Vulnerability Management & Hardening
* Identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in cloud workloads
* Recommend and follow up on hardening actions
* Support risk prioritization based on real technical impact
Automation & Security-by-Design
* Support basic security automation (scripts, policies, templates)
* Contribute to security-by-design practices in new cloud services
* Promote secure configuration as part of day-to-day cloud operations
If you have:
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* 2–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Cloud, or Infrastructure roles with a strong security focus
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
* A solid understanding of identity and access management, cloud security fundamentals, and networking security concepts
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Nice to have:
* Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep), and containers (AKS, Container Apps)
* Knowledge of Zero Trust and DevSecOps principles
* Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
* AZ-500 certification
* Other Microsoft Security or Azure certifications
* Cloud Security certifications
