About EBBAEBBA is a fast-growing e-commerce group building and scaling direct-to-consumer brands for international markets. We combine performance marketing, creative production, data analysis, automation, AI and lean operations to launch, test and scale e-commerce brands faster than traditional companies. We are now looking for an E-commerce Brand Owner to lead one of our high-growth brands. You will be taking ownership of a brand that has already generated over $5M in sales in the last 4 months and is now entering its next stage of operational and commercial scale. This is a highly entrepreneurial role for someone who wants to work close to the founders, own business outcomes and help turn a fast-growing brand into a scalable, profitable business. The RoleAs E-commerce Brand Owner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day ownership of one EBBA brand. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with EBBA's founders and specialist teams across Growth, Creative, CRO, Tech, Operations, Finance and Customer Support. This is not a role where you personally execute every function.
Your job is to make sure the brand moves in the right direction by connecting performance marketing, creative, funnel/CRO, customer insights, operations, tech, finance and customer support into one clear operating plan.Your mission is simple: grow the brand profitably, with speed, focus and operational discipline.LocationThis is a Lisbon-based hybrid role.
We expect regular in-person collaboration with the team, especially during onboarding, business reviews and key operating moments.CompensationCompensation follows a hybrid fixed + variable model. The fixed component will be aligned with the candidate's experience and seniority.
The variable component is directly tied to the performance of the brand and can reach up to 3x the annual fixed salary in cases of exceptional brand performance. The objective is to create a true ownership model: if the brand performs exceptionally well, the Brand Owner should participate meaningfully in that upside. What You'll OwnBrand Performance & P&LYou will own the brand's commercial performance and help drive decisions around revenue, margin, profitability, AOV, conversion rate, CAC, ROAS, refunds, chargebacks, customer experience and cash impact. You will be expected to understand the numbers, identify bottlenecks and translate them into clear actions.Brand Operating RhythmYou will run the brand's daily operating cadence with the relevant team members and operational PODs, making sure priorities are clear, blockers are removed, and the brand keeps moving forward every day.Growth CoordinationYou will work closely with Media Buying, Creative, CRO, Offer, Analytics and Lifecycle teams to ensure the brand has the right tests, creatives, funnels, offers and customer journeys in place. You are accountable for making sure the right work is happening and that the brand's priorities are understood by every team.Customer & Market UnderstandingYou will deeply understand the customer, the value proposition, the buying journey, objections, competitors, reviews, complaints and reasons why customers buy or do not buy.You will turn those insights into better offers, funnels, creative angles, customer experience and prioritisation.Execution & PrioritisationYou will manage the brand's roadmap and make sure the team focuses on the few actions that matter most. You will distinguish between urgent noise and real business bottlenecks, and keep execution moving without creating unnecessary meetings or complexity.Cross-functional AlignmentYou will work with Tech, Finance, Operations, Customer Support and other internal teams to make sure the brand has the infrastructure, processes, reporting and operational support needed to scale. You will escalate issues clearly and early, especially when they affect revenue, customer experience, payments, fulfilment, tracking, compliance or cash flow.ResponsibilitiesOwn the day-to-day performance of one e-commerce brand.Track and interpret key metrics across revenue, margin, ROAS, CAC, AOV, CVR, refunds, chargebacks, support, fulfilment and cash impact.Run the brand's daily operating rhythm with the relevant team members and PODs.Define weekly priorities and translate them into concrete actions.Coordinate with Growth, Creative, CRO, Analytics, Lifecycle, Tech, Finance and Operations teams.Identify growth bottlenecks and propose clear actions to solve them.Ensure creative, funnel, offer and customer experience decisions are connected to data and customer insight.Monitor customer feedback, complaints, reviews and support patterns.Improve the brand's positioning, messaging, offer structure and customer journey.Escalate blockers quickly and clearly.Prepare concise brand updates for leadership.Help build repeatable operating processes for future brands. What This Role Is NotThis is not a pure marketing, media buying, project management, creative strategy, tech product management or finance role. This is a business ownership role.
You will be expected to think like an operator, act like an owner and work with specialists to get the right outcomes. What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone with strong business sense, analytical thinking and execution discipline. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, fast-moving environments and high ownership.
You do not need to be an expert in every e-commerce function, but you need to understand how the pieces connect. You should be able to look at a business dashboard, understand what is happening, ask the right questions and push the team toward action.Requirements2–5+ years of experience in e-commerce, startups, growth, operations, consulting, venture building, digital business or a similar high-performance environment.Strong analytical ability and comfort working with business metrics.Good understanding of DTC/e-commerce economics: revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, AOV, CAC, ROAS, MER and conversion rate.Ability to manage cross-functional teams without needing formal authority over every person.Strong prioritisation skills and ownership mindset.Comfortable working directly with founders and senior operators.Clear written and verbal communication.Fluent English.Ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.Availability to work in a Lisbon-based hybrid setup.Nice to HaveExperience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.Experience with Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads or performance marketing teams.Experience with CRO, funnels, landing pages, upsells or lifecycle marketing.Experience managing physical or digital products.Experience with customer support, fulfilment, payments or chargeback-sensitive businesses.Experience owning or co-owning a brand, product line, marketplace operation or digital business.Who Will Succeed in This RoleYou will probably succeed if you like owning outcomes, not just tasks; are structured but not bureaucratic; can move fast without losing control; are comfortable making decisions with imperfect information; know how to push specialists without pretending to be the expert in every area; care about numbers, customers and execution; and want your upside to be directly connected to business performance.Evidence of Previous PerformanceThis is a performance-driven ownership role.
We care less about traditional CV signals and more about what you have actually owned, improved or scaled. As part of your application, please share 1–2 concrete examples of previous work where you had direct ownership or strong influence over business performance. This could include an e-commerce brand, digital product, product line, growth project, funnel, business unit, marketplace operation or similar. For each example, please include the business context, your exact role, starting point and key metrics, actions taken, teams coordinated, final result, timeframe and any credible proof you can share without breaching confidentiality.Relevant metrics may include revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, ROAS, MER, CAC, AOV, conversion rate, refund rate, chargeback rate, retention, repeat purchase rate, EBITDA or contribution profit impact. We do not expect you to disclose confidential information.
Numbers can be anonymised, indexed or partially redacted.
What matters is that you can clearly explain the business problem, your decisions and the measurable impact of your work.Reporting & Team StructureYou will report directly to the CEO.You will work with dedicated operational PODs and specialist internal teams across Growth, Creative, CRO, Tech, Analytics, Lifecycle, Operations, Finance and Customer Support. The Brand Owner is the central operating owner of the brand.
Specialist teams own their craft, but the Brand Owner ensures that the brand's priorities are clear, execution is coordinated and performance is moving in the right direction. Why Join EBBAHigh ownership from day one.Direct exposure to the CEO, founders and senior leadership.Opportunity to lead a real e-commerce brand, not just a function.Performance-linked upside with significant variable compensation potential.Fast learning curve across growth, operations, creative, tech, finance and customer experience.Performance-driven culture with short feedback loops.Opportunity to help build the operating model for a new generation of e-commerce brands.
