Optimize Manufacturing Operations Leader
We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Leader to optimize our manufacturing processes in the Santa Maria da Feira plant. The leader will define and optimize processes from equipment design through to customer installation.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of metallurgy, mechanical/electrical/automation manufacturing and design, proficiency in design software, office software, and ERP systems. Intermediate-level English language skills are required, as well as a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join a growing team and play a key role in supporting local production, participating in upskilling our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the design of equipment, integrating industrial design and assembly constraints with Design to Cost and Design for Manufacturing approaches.
2. Actively participate in controlling equipment costs with purchasing departments.
3. Arbitrate the choice of method for supplying machine components according to manufacturing processes.
4. Supervise prototype assembly processes to solve manufacturing and assembly problems efficiently.
5. Define pre-series and serial manufacturing processes within project development toll gates.
6. Develop necessary mechanical tools for manufacturing equipment.
7. Provide technical documentation necessary for assembling machines.
8. Collaborate with quality service to reduce internal and customer non-conformities.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of metallurgy (materials and processing)
* Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/automation manufacturing and design

* Problem-solving methods and tools, Lean
* Intermediate-level professional English
* Master's degree in Engineering with 3 years of experience
* BTEC Higher National Diploma's degree in Technology with 10 years of experience (either in mechanics or mechatronics)
