Our client is a technology company that develops specialized electronic solutions and sensor technologies for maritime and industrial applications.
With a presence of almost 30 years and headquartered in Scandinavia, the company focuses on high-performance hardware and integrated systems.
Its activities include advanced sonar and underwater mapping systems used for hydrographic surveying and seabed analysis, wireless and IoT-based solutions for asset tracking, tolling, and smart infrastructure, as well as the development and manufacturing of custom electronic products for partners and clients.
The company is recognized for combining electronics engineering, software development, and sensor technologies to deliver integrated solutions for marine, transportation, and industrial markets.
You will design, develop, and maintain embedded software on Linux platforms, working closely with hardware, product, and QA teams to deliver robust systems — often communicating over LTE or similar networks.
Our core value is We deliver.
We take ownership, follow things through, and care about how our products perform in the field.
We are looking for engineers who share this mindset and want to take responsibility for the products they help create.
What You'll Be Doing
Maintain, design, and develop embedded software in C and C++ on Linux based platforms
Design, configure, and troubleshoot system services
Integrate communication modules and networks, including LTE-based solutions
Build, test, debug, and maintain software
Contribute to system architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement
Support products from development through production and operation
What You Need To Be Successful
We are looking for a solid foundation in embedded software development and a genuine interest in building reliable embedded systems.
We are looking for a person with a strong sense of ownership, taking products from early development through production, and actively ensuring they continue to perform well throughout their lifecycle.
Good working knowledge of Linux
Programming experience in C and/or C++ (professional, academic, or personal projects)
Experience with embedded or resource-constrained systems
Understanding of testing, debugging, and code quality practices
A delivery-oriented and collaborative mindset
Experience That Is A Plus
Experience in any of the technologies below is a plus, but a strong interest in learning and applying them in real world systems is just as important.
Embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto Project, Buildroot, or similar
CMake or other modern build and tooling setups
Debugging, profiling, and cross compilation for embedded targets
Secure coding practices and performance considerations in embedded systems
CI and CD pipelines, automated testing, or DevOps oriented workflows
Git and collaborative development practices
Container technologies such as Docker or Podman
Embedded and connectivity related technologies and protocols, for example:
-TCP and UDP networking
-AT commands and PPP for LTE modems
-MQTT, MQTT SN, CoAP, or HTTP REST for cloud connectivity
-NMEA for GNSS modules
-CAN or CANopen for device level communication
What We'll Hook You Up With:
Opportunity to join a reference business group with a strong international presence;
Training programs through the internal training academy and partner entities;
Possibility to work in a hybrid regime.
