Creative Operations Manager
Remote & Full Time
ABOUT US
We make kitchenware that people actually LOVE to leave on the counter! Our customers are primary style-obsessed women who care deeply about how their homes look and feel — and our products are designed to match that standard.
Our brand has built strong momentum through Amazon and we are now scaling aggressively across other channels, new product categories, and international markets. We're growing fast and are building the team and systems to get there!
THE OPPORTUNITY
Right now our creative machine runs on talent, urgency, and good intentions. That's gotten us here. Getting to the next level requires something more: a person who can build the system behind the creative — so the team produces faster, smarter, and with less chaos at every stage.
You'll own the entire creative operations function — intake, prioritization, resourcing, process, and output quality. You'll directly manage a team of designers and contractors, set standards, hire talent, and build workflows that didn't exist before you arrived. You will be getting in early on the next wave of growth and have a chance to build something meaningful, exciting, and rewarding.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Creative Project Management
* Own the full creative intake, prioritization, and execution flow
* Manage timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and launch schedules
* Ensure the team is focused on highest-impact work at all times
* Coordinate across Amazon, Shopify, email, social, packaging, and brand initiatives
* Create organization-wide visibility into project status and capacity
Team Leadership & Hiring
* Directly manage 4–6 internal designers and creative contractors
* Own hiring — write briefs, screen candidates, run interviews, onboard new hires
* Set performance standards and build accountability into the team culture
* Balance workloads, protect focus time, and prevent burnout
* Build a positive, high-performing creative environment
Process & Systems Development
* Build SOPs and workflows from scratch — nothing exists yet, that's the point
* Improve brief → review → approval cycles to reduce revisions and delays
* Implement PM tooling (ClickUp, Asana, or similar) as the operational backbone
* Define creative KPIs and establish reporting cadences
* Continuously improve speed, clarity, and output quality
* Add AI capabilities everywhere and anywhere they are valuable and can improve or accelerate existing capabilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Translate business goals from marketing, ecommerce, and leadership into production plans
* Partner closely with founders, ecommerce team, product development, and Amazon team
* Coordinate campaign launches, seasonal pushes, and new product rollouts
* Manage external agencies, freelancers, and vendor relationships
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
NON-NEGOTIABLE
STRONGLY PREFERRED
* 5+ years in creative ops, project management, or brand operations
* Directly managed at least 4–5 people (designers or creative team preferred)
* Hired, onboarded, and developed creative talent before
* Built workflows and processes from zero — not inherited them
* Run many concurrent projects without losing threads
* eCommerce or fast-scaling consumer brand experience
* PM tool power user — ClickUp, Asana, or Monday as a core daily tool
* Strong async communicator: briefs, SOPs, status docs
* Loves AI in all it's forms, feels comfortable with generative media, tools, and keeps up with the latest happenings.
* eCommerce brand experience in home, lifestyle, beauty, or fashion
* Amazon and Shopify creative ecosystem familiarity
* Scaled teams and processes during high-growth phases
* Managed freelancers and agencies alongside internal team
* Eye for brand quality — you know elevated work when you see it
* Figma-comfortable at a reviewer level
* Experience at brands in the $5M–$50M range
* International or remote team management experience
THE PROFILE
You're operationally wired. You naturally think in systems, SOPs, and prioritization frameworks but with a creative flair. You bring calm to chaotic environments rather than adding to them. You can speak designer language without being precious about it — and you push accountability just as confidently as you protect focus time.
You've been in fast-moving ecommerce environments and you understand that speed and quality aren't opposites — the right systems make both possible. You're a builder, not a maintainer. You want to set something up from scratch and watch it work.
You say: "Here's the intake process, prioritization framework, review cadence, and asset pipeline."
Not: "Let's brainstorm the emotional essence of the campaign."
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF...
* You've never directly managed more than 1–2 people
* You want to design, art direct, or own brand strategy
* You need mature systems already in place to do your best work
* You prefer slow-moving, clearly scoped corporate environments
* You describe yourself primarily as a "creative" rather than an operator
* Deadlines feel like someone else's problem
WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE AT 6–12 MONTHS
* Creative bottlenecks are dramatically reduced
* Designers spend more time designing and less time chasing information
* There is a clear intake process the whole company actually uses
* Projects launch on time more consistently
* Priorities are visible and agreed-upon across all teams
* Asset quality and brand consistency have measurably improved
* The creative team feels like a growth engine, not a constraint
WHY JOIN US
This is an early seat at a scaling brand with real momentum and ambitious goals. You'll have high ownership, direct access to founders, and the rare opportunity to build the operational foundation of a creative department from the ground up.
As the brand scales, this role grows with it — toward Head of Creative Operations and beyond. We're not hiring a coordinator who becomes a manager. We're hiring someone to build something.
HOW TO APPLY
We care more about how you've actually worked than where you've worked. Show us how you think.
* Resume
* Examples of workflows, SOPs, or operational systems you've built (even rough ones)
* Brief overview of brands and team sizes you've directly managed
* A short note on why this role, why now — be specific
We're looking for execution, ownership, and operational excellence. Don't tell us what you'd do. Show us what you've built.
