What do we do?
The VWFS Porto is a VWFS AG IT hub, and the first outside Germany. Here we will establish a large Business & IT company of 120+ FTE. Our primary goal is to service all European markets in implementing the contract management systems and maintaining it. Our focus is on: CMS systems, satellite systems (such as document management systems, collection systems) but also integrations, data, and large project organizations.
Objectives:
The Data Management Team is responsible for ensuring that data from standard contract management systems are extracted from the source, validated and transformed according to business requirements, and inserted on International databases, BI or DWH for further processing.
You will start by joining a global BI team to develop standard solutions for the markets, specifically how data should be consolidated in different clusters/domains and design BI solutions for the customers and do the necessary analysis and reports.
About you:
- At least 5 years of experience in working with data from large ERP / CMS systems.
- At least 3 years of experience working with Business Intelligence and regular BI solutions such as reporting and analytics to the business.
- High experience in data engineering and data interface design and concepts (SQL, PLSQL, CSharp, Python or other programming languages are a must, Data Modelling, Referential Data, ETL processes mandatory).
- Experience in Data Analysis/ Data Quality Rules (Validation and Transformation of Data according to Business Requirements).
- Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines that process large datasets.
- Hands-on experience in analyzing large datasets (e.g., with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, PBI RS).
- Experience with data modelling and data warehousing.
- Ready to work hand in hand with international teams.
- Strongly motivated and willing to bring technical expertise to the table.
- Strong in English both in speaking and writing.

- University degree in IT or comparable degree preferable in the data area.
- Ability to relate with customers, top management, and junior staff members in the IT department and across other departments.
- Very good communication skills, high level of self-responsibility, self-initiative and the ability to interact efficiently.
- Results-oriented and with team-player attitude.
- Strong analytical and structural competence and ability to organize him-/herself independently.
- Highly expertise on IT field concepts, procedures, and practices (ITIL, Service management, IT service management tools).
- Strong drive-in to automation and improvement of processes.
- Strong ability to communicate to different stakeholders from several countries.
- Leading capacity and strongly motivated to build a team from scratch.
- Ability to mentor junior colleagues.
- Speaking & writing English fluently.
- Availability for travelling.
