The Role:
This key role drives excellence in a high-performance culture within the Global Procurement function. As an ambitious Strategic Buyer, you will join our Sourcing Hub to drive Category Strategy through plan implementation as part of our transformation journey.
You will be responsible for delivering strategic sourcing projects and cost-reducing process/supplier improvement projects, as well as the Source to Contract process working closely with Category Managers and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with relevant Category Manager(s) to develop and execute a fully integrated category plan for assigned area(s).
* Develop global sourcing strategies aligned to the category strategy to drive savings and value.
* Source to Contract (S2C) process including sourcing strategy execution evaluation recommendation supplier selection and award.
* Negotiate with suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
* Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships to ensure that Sourcing Strategies are aligned to current and future business needs.
* Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to generate value through increased supplier performance and/or capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 2+ years experience within a Strategic Procurement/Sourcing environment employing a formal category management process preferably in a regulated industry with MCIPS level 4.
* Experience of running tenders and developing strategic sourcing/Category Management principles knowledge.
