Key Responsibilities of IT Operations Support Engineer:
* Provide 2nd-level support, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation, to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and minimize system downtime.
* Implement service requests and changes to fulfill user and customer needs.
* Drive proactive problem management in scope, evaluate, and deploy new measures/solutions for operational stability improvements.
* Define and set up effective systems for faulty detection and monitoring for early proactive failure detection.
* Perform user requirement engineering, FIT & UAT (including test cases creation, test environment setup).
* Execute software and technologies refresh activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 1 year of experience in systems/IT support and user requirements handling.
* Good knowledge in data transfer, file processing methodology, and system interfaces/integration.
* Proven experience with database systems and development (Oracle PL/SQL, SQL scripts, MS SQL).
* Hands-on experience with application maintenance and/or development in operating systems such as Windows, Unix, Linux or Perl Scripts.
* Practical experience with ITIL (incident management, problem management, event management, change and release management).
* Fluency in English is mandatory.
