Your Role
You will be part of our Global Database Team and work as an Automation delegate to improve and extend our automation landscape, focusing on Oracle Database tasks such as deployment, deletion, patching, upgrades, and other common tasks.
Your Responsibilities
1. Oversee the creation and maintenance of automation workflows for standardized database instances on Red Hat Linux across private and AWS clouds.
2. Design and improve self-service workflows based on business needs.
3. Collaborate with business requestors, the Automation Team, and portal developers to ensure solutions meet requirements.
4. Coordinate with teams like Global Infrastructure Automation, Virtualization & Storage, and Linux Administration.
5. Identify areas for improvement, suggest innovative solutions, and implement enhancements.
6. Document purposes, usage, and limitations in code, wiki, and self-service portals.
7. Follow existing standards and contribute to new ones when necessary.
8. Continuously develop technical skills, including Oracle database fundamentals and SQL.
Your Skills And Experiences
1. Basic knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) administration.
2. Experience with automation tools (vRealize Orchestrator, Ansible, git) and scripting languages (Bash, JavaScript, Python), including API usage (RESTful, GraphQL).
3. Ability to perform error analysis independently.
4. Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
5. Team player with effective communication.
6. Independent, goal-oriented working style.
7. Fluent in written and spoken English.
