We are expanding our internal team in Portugal and are looking for a dedicated Kofax / Tungsten Automation Specialist.
In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge intelligent automation and document capture solutions for our international client base.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Kofax / Tungsten Automation Specialist at The Brains Lda.
, you will act as a key technical consultant and developer, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and innovative technical solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Solution Design & Development: Design, build, and maintain intelligent automation workflows, document capture processes, and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions using the Tungsten Automation (formerly Kofax) product suite, specifically TotalAgility (KTA) and RPA.
Client Consulting: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and clients to understand their processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate them into scalable technical architectures.
Implementation & Integration: Implement data capture, OCR (Optical Character Recognition), document classification, and extraction solutions.
Integrate Tungsten/Kofax solutions with existing enterprise systems via APIs (e.g., .NET, REST/SOAP).
Optimization & Support: Troubleshoot production issues, optimize existing workflows for performance and accuracy, and provide ongoing technical support and continuous improvement recommendations.
Project Delivery: Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of consulting projects, adhering to best practices in software development and intelligent automation.
Your Profile
To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong technical foundation combined with a consulting mindset and a passion for process optimization.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in developing and implementing document capture or intelligent automation solutions.
Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in the Tungsten Automation (Kofax) ecosystem, particularly Kofax TotalAgility (KTA), Kofax Capture, or Tungsten RPA.
Development Skills: Strong understanding of document processing, OCR technologies, and data extraction.
Experience with .
NET, C#, SQL, and API integrations is highly preferred.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business processes and design efficient automated workflows.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
You are a self-starter who can effectively interact with clients and cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Knowledge of German is considered a strong advantage.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
