The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch support and maintenance to clients. The primary focus is on installing, de-installing, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing instrument failures, repairing, and modifying equipment.
This position involves efficiently managing workflow, interacting with clients, and reporting tasks in a diligent and timely manner using established processes, programs, and systems.
The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with other departments and team members to ensure excellent customer experience, seamless workflow, and proper incident reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and report service calls with precision and timeliness.
* Manage and control inventory of repair parts for efficiency and cost optimization.
* Oversee the use and maintenance of tools, diagnostic instruments, IT systems, and communication devices.
* Ensure adherence to company processes, directives, and the Ethical Code.
* Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to enhance customer satisfaction and business synergy.
* Operate independently, escalating issues affecting customer expectations and product quality assurance.
* Communicate assertively and clearly with customers and colleagues to foster transparency and trust.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/mechanical engineering or physical sciences.
* 2-5 years of work experience in a high-end Life Sciences or medical capital equipment service department.
* Desirable data analytic skills, Excel, and pivot tables.
* Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical analog and digital circuits, computer hardware, and pneumatics.
* Fluent reading and writing English and basic technical conversation.
* Fluent Spanish language speaking and understanding.
* Driver's license.
