Job Title: Manufacturing Steel QA/QC Coordinator
We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Manufacturing Steel QA/QC Coordinator.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all welded fabrication processes meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise in welding processes, materials, and equipment will be invaluable in implementing and supervising manufacturing planning.
* Coordination and monitoring of the welded fabrication process;
* Inspection and Quality control in welded construction;
* Analysis and development of welding procedures, witnessing welder certification tests and issuing certificates;
* Implementation and supervision of manufacturing planning;
You will work closely with our team to guarantee that manufacturing follows requirements of the Quality Management Plan, ITP's procedures and checklists used to inspect the quality of the work executed. Additionally, you will manage and close non-conformities, monitor compliance with quality procedures, and establish internal document control.
Requirements:
* Masters in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment or Specialisation training in Welding Engineering from ISQ, or similar;
* High School degree (12th grade) in Science and Technology with a minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment or Elementary degree (9th grade) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment;
* 3 to 5 years of experience in a factory environment - metalworking or welding technology, both in fabrication and in the application of standards;
* Knowledge of welding processes and equipment, of materials and their performance in welding;
* Knowledge of the EN 1090 standard;
* Qualification of welds and welding procedures;
* Excellent operational skills;
* Autonomous, self-motivated and proactive attitude;
* Team player and good communication skills;
* Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making;
* Availability to multi-task;
* Well-organized and reliable;
* Good time-management skills;
* Solid English skills (verbal and written) - mandatory;
* Availability to travel worldwide, both for extended periods of manufacturing follow-up and occasional travel for partner/supplier validation;
* Proven expertise in on-site assembly operations - valued;
* Solid knowledge of Tekla Structures – valued;
