When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.

Sea Logistics Sales is responsible for driving new business growth, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) customers. They possess comprehensive knowledge of trade lanes, including geographic scope, available service offerings (such as sailings, transit times, and reliability), country-specific documentation regulations, local standards, operational procedures, and typical goods transported on those routes.

Their role is mainly customer-facing, focusing on identifying and securing new business opportunities. They collaborate closely with Customer Care teams to ensure seamless service for shared accounts.

Sea Logistics Sales professionals also make pricing decisions in coordination with the Customer Care Manager, following guidance from Trade Management and Pricing teams. They manage a personal portfolio of sales accounts as account owners.

How you create impact

- Drive new business development with a focus on SME customers.
- Make pricing decisions aligned with Customer Care Managers, based on strategic recommendations.
- Prepare and submit competitive quotations using digital tools, ensuring timely and tailored proposals.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Sea Logistics products and trade-lane dynamics through customer interactions and presentations.
- Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape to stay informed on pricing trends and market offerings.
- Collaborate with the Customer Care Team to onboard new customers smoothly and provide comprehensive handover documentation (Customer Promise/CCL form).
- Maintain accurate customer information in CoreLOG and perform CRM activities.
- Manage and grow your customer portfolio, regularly reviewing accounts with CCL Managers and Customer Care to secure new business.

What we would like you to bring

- 2–5 years of experience in Sea Logistics, with a good understanding of industry operations and trade dynamics.
- 2–5 years in Customer Management, delivering excellent service and building long-term relationships.
- Strong communication, customer problem-solving, adaptability, time management, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
- An agile mindset focused on continuous improvement, resilience, and embracing change.
- Native Portuguese speaker with fluency in English for effective communication across markets.
- Leadership qualities, demonstrating drive and commitment to goals.
- A team player who fosters collaboration and builds partnerships across functions.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on identifying opportunities and delivering tailored solutions.
