At Bloom Studios, we're on a mission to accelerate creative work. Blooms is currently growing fast as we enter the scale-up side of our business, and is looking for an freelance casting director who is well versed in the casting process for commercial photography and video productions, and who wants to champion a future of ethical talent usage and rights management.
The Role
We're looking for an individual contributor who will work with client briefs, our preferred model agencies, and their existing network to fulfil client casting briefs.
You'll often work autonomously, but you won't be isolated. You'll collaborate closely with our producers, partners and the community in digitising models ethically.
What You'll Do
* Streamline our existing casting and digitisation process, end to end, building in ethical check-points and reviews, ensuring legal documentation is signed and started.
* Build out a database of AI- available talent, predominantly outside of the Netherlands.
* Assemble casting presentations, and manage out growing 'digital twin' library.
* Work closely with our preferred talent agency suppliers and talent, keeping them in the loop regarding usage.
* Stay informed on relevant EU AI laws and maintain compliance throughout the process.
What We're Looking For (Essential Skills & Experience)
* You have worked in an casting / model agency (3+ years)
* An exceptional eye in finding the right 'look'.f
* Experience working with top-tier enterprise brands and marketing teams.
* Ability to negotiate buyouts, usage and deliverables.
* Comfortable working in a high-paced, collaborative creative environment.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)
* Photography experience.
* Interest in GenAI prompting, and giving feedback on poses, expressions and mood.
* Fluency in Spanish/French/German.
* Strong network of existing models
* Utilise social media to promote ethical productions and the shifting industry.
