We are recruiting a Commissioning Manager for a highly complex international project located in the Azores.
This involves the construction of critical infrastructure that will shape the future of global connectivity.
Main responsibilities:
• Lead the commissioning process for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) systems;
• Ensure that all systems are installed, tested and delivered in accordance with project specifications;
• Support the tendering and procurement phase by evaluating technical and commercial proposals;
• Negotiate and manage subcontractors, ensuring quality, deadlines and compliance;
• Develop commissioning execution plans, schedules and budgets;
• Implement quality assurance measures and ensure compliance with safety standards;
• Coordinate final delivery and the transition to operations;
• Prepare technical reports and monitor the performance of teams on site;
• Manage the relationship with the client and stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the project cycle.
Ideal profile:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning management, particularly within MEP systems.
Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, building systems, and industry best practices.
Experience in tender assessments, procurement, and contract negotiations.
Proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills.
Familiarity with Project Control Systems (PCS) and risk management procedures.
Commitment to safety and quality standards in project execution.
Fluency in English.
