Decskill seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to join our global team. As a key player in our database infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining high-performing databases that meet the needs of our business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Troubleshooting and resolving live system issues related to application performance, memory utilization, query tuning, and backup recovery
* Providing Level 3 support: performing root-cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes for recurring issues
* Monitoring database infrastructure, including availability, disk space utilization, alert logs, and network logs for anomalies
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on expertise in Oracle 12c/19c
* Experience with other database systems is a plus
* Performance optimization skills: ability to index tune, query optimize, and troubleshoot database performance issues
* Database lifecycle management: experience with data cleanup, historical data purging, and automation
* Analytical and creative problem-solving: ability to assess change requests, issues, or challenges, propose solutions, and translate technical concepts into schematics, diagrams, or documentation for discussions and reporting
