The Role: Technical Business Analyst
Location: Lisbon
Work Model: 2 days a week onsite; 3 days remote from Portugal
Sector: Financial Services
Languages: English (B2–C1)
Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a strong IT background who goes beyond traditional functional analysis. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with technical capabilities, contributing not only to requirements analysis but also to solution implementation and validation.
You are comfortable working closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders, and you have the technical curiosity and skills to understand systems, data, and code.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in cross-functional and international IT environments.

Fluent in English (Portuguese and/or French are a plus).
Experience in banking or financial services environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in IT-driven projects.
Strong knowledge of SQL, with PL/SQL being highly valued.
Ability to read and understand code, with basic programming knowledge being a strong advantage.
Experience working closely with development teams during implementation phases.
Experience in defining, documenting, and executing manual and/or automated test cases.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban environments).
Experience with GIT or other version control systems is a plus.
Knowledge of Gherkin/Cucumber is considered an advantage.
What You Will Be Doing
Gather, analyze, and challenge business and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
Work closely with developers and architects to design and implement scalable IT solutions.
Perform technical and functional impact analysis to support design decisions.
Write and optimize SQL / PL/SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
Define, document, and execute test cases (unit, integration, UAT/FAT) to ensure solution quality.
Support implementation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and ensure proper follow-up using tools such as Jira.
