Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. As a member of our team, you will gain hands-on experience in various financial functions, including accounting, financial analysis, and reporting. You will assist team members in day-to-day tasks and have the opportunity to learn about financial systems, budgeting, and forecasting.
As part of your role and responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable tasks.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
- Support the team in managing budgets, forecasts, and reconciliations.
- Help in tracking expenses and maintaining financial records.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Participate in audits and internal controls processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and insights.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Comply with safety policies and procedures
- Comply with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Supply Chain policies and procedures
- Performs variety of tasks and projects as necessary from the Leadership team
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have
- Finance / Accounting degree or experience in administrative accounting tasks
- Implement and document process improvements
- Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in Google Sheets; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational and time management skills
- Service-oriented & collaborative approach
- Ability to prioritize issues and to efficiently troubleshoot problems
- Effective Communication skills, both oral and written
- Language: English - fluent
