Mission of the Role: As part of the Mechanical Interface role, you are responsible to interact with the Customer, Internal Program Team, Mechanical execution leads to be sure all the mechanical deliverables are on track.
Key Objectives of this Role:
•Specifications to ME Engineer:
With good Customer interaction skills to be a customer interface to deliver the ME customer deliverables.
To interact with global execution engineers to communicate the customer requirements and to follow up to get the customer deliverables.
To have a good understanding of the Automotive project development phases, Timing, and process.
To track the project according to automotive development flow, to be sure that all deliverables are on track, deliver them in internal process control tools like Jira, Confluence.
Key Year One Deliverables:
All Customer deliveries are on time and of the required level of quality
No customer escalation related to the gap in communication, delivery
On time, completing internal process-related deliverables in process tools like Jira, Confluence
Qualification, Experience, and Skills:
Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical engineering
Project execution experience from RFQ to SOP, good knowledge in project execution according to global automotive design flow (project management experience is a bonus.)
5 to 8 years of experience in automotive design in a global tier 1 or OEM.
Experience in designing using sheet metal, plastic moldings, extrusions, and castings, including design for manufacturing reviews.
Knowledge of enclosure design, thermal management, structural design, sealing, interconnections, PCB, and material selection for in-cabin and exterior of cabin environments.
Knowledge of the mechanical design of vehicle charging system electronics or powertrain modules (not mandatory).
Knowledge for the mechanical design of power electronics systems, including inverters, On-Board chargers, and DC/DC (not mandatory)
Experience in interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers at the OEM or Tier 1 level
Experience in requirement analysis and issue management (Jira, Confluence)
Experience in ASIL-D, DFMEA, and other quality documents
Failure analysis and testing experience
Strong understanding of design for module-level reliability
Understanding of EMC/ESD and circuit design
Experience in CAD systems (Catia Preferred, NX, Team Center database)
Experience in BOM creation and release
Experience in structural or thermal simulation tools (Preferred)
Good English skills (mandatory)
