Job Description Job Title: Software Asset Manager Location: Lisbon, Portugal Work Regime: Full-time Hybrid (2x or 3x office days) Overview / Summary: We are looking for a Software Licensing and Asset Management professional with solid experience in managing enterprise software contracts and ensuring compliance across complex IT environments.
Responsibilities and Tasks: Manage software licensing contracts and ensure compliance with vendor terms and internal policies; Support procurement processes, including software acquisition, renewals, and contract negotiations; Monitor software usage and entitlements using ITAM/SAM tools, ensuring audit readiness; Interpret legal and technical licensing terms and advise stakeholders on compliance and risk; Coordinate with IT, legal, finance, and business teams to optimize software assets and costs.
Requirements Mandatory Requirements: Experience in managing software licensing contracts (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.); +2 years of experience in procurement/acquisition processes and contract negotiation; Ability to read and interpret legal and technical contractual terms; Experience with ITAM/SAM tools (IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management); Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes; Fluency in Portuguese and English (as applicable).
Complementary Requirements: Relevant certifications (SAM Certification); Experience working in the public sector or in regulated environments; Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; Knowledge of cloud licensing models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS); Benefits Important : Our company does not sponsor work visas or work permits.
