CoinDesk is seeking a skilled and experienced market reporter to join our dynamic newsroom. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets and a proven track record in financial journalism.
The Role
This role involves covering fast-moving developments in the digital asset space, providing real-time reporting, and producing in-depth analysis on market trends, price movements, and key industry players. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality content that meets the needs of our readers.
Key Responsibilities
* Cover breaking news and market developments in the cryptocurrency and digital asset space
* Write and publish daily market updates, news stories, and features that explain complex market dynamics
* Monitor a wide range of sources to identify and report on market-moving events and emerging trends
* Develop and maintain a strong network of sources to generate exclusive reporting and scoops
* Analyze market data and conduct research to provide insightful commentary on price action, trading volumes, and investor sentiment
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience as a financial journalist with a strong focus on market reporting
* Demonstrated expertise and a genuine passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
* Experience covering traditional financial markets is a plus
* Familiarity with AI-powered tools for content generation, research, analysis, and transcription
* Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
* A proven ability to develop sources and deliver original, impactful reporting
Working Arrangements
This role will be based in the UK/EURO region and will require working onsite 2-3 days per week at our local offices in London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt.
