Energy Systems Research Opportunity
We are seeking engineers to contribute to the energy transition through cutting-edge research and development. You will work in a dynamic environment supporting projects across various technical and economic topics, including:
* Smart grids, renewable energy integration, storage, and electric vehicles
* Energy system flexibility, reliability, and cybersecurity
* Network planning and system operation
* Artificial intelligence and IoT for energy systems
* Energy market design and digitalization
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
* Participating in and managing R&D and innovation projects
* Developing simulations, algorithms, models, and technical documentation
* Reviewing deliverables and providing technical guidance
* Contributing to national and European R&D proposals
* Writing scientific papers and presenting research results
* Liaising with project partners, clients, and stakeholders
Candidates should possess:
* A Master's degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, or related field)
* A final academic grade of at least 14/20
* Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, C/C#/Java)
* Fluent English (C1 level minimum)
* Solid analytical capabilities and technical rigor
Desirable qualifications include:
* Technical background on power system analysis (steady state analysis, transient stability, short circuit calculation)
* Familiarity with power systems simulation software, such as Matlab SPS/Simulink and PSS/E
* Experience in optimisation methods for power system planning, operation, analysis, and simulation
* Knowledge of EU regulation concerning planning and operational standards
* Good understanding of electricity markets and energy regulation
