As Design Specialist, you'll coordinate global partners, ensure every design meets our high standards, and keep projects on track from concept to completion. You'll be the expert guiding teams and consultants, making sure every detail supports innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. How You'll Make an Impact
1. Serve as a design specialist, contributing expertise to the development and coordination of design solutions for major construction projects, ensuring all deliverables align with Siemens Energy standards
2. Oversee the work of global and local design partners, from initial feasibility concepts through detailed design completion.
3. Support budgeting and allocation of design resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
4. Identify and manage design risks, participate in risk workshops, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
5. Prepare and present regular status reports, ensuring project data is accurate and up to date.
6. Drive continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and knowledge sharing across projects.
7. Collaborate with the Digital Acceleration team to implement digital tools that optimize design management and project performance.
8. Ensure compliance with all legal, operational, and safety requirements, and support sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency and green building certifications.
9. Provide design management expertise and project controls support to the Real Estate (RE) community.
What You Bring
10. 3–5 years' experience in design management for construction projects of industrial facilities, ideally in international and multicultural environments.
11. Strong knowledge of feasibility design assessments, design development, value engineering, sustainable practices, and management of design partners and consultants.
12. Proven ability to implement high-quality design management processes.
13. Experience working in multinational, multicultural teams.
14. Master's degree or equivalent in construction engineering, civil engineering, MEP engineering, architecture, or a related field.
You'll need the technical expertise and leadership skills listed above to succeed in this role. Experience with digital design tools and sustainable practices will help you stand out. If travel is required, you'll be comfortable working across different locations. Advanced English proficiency is important for this role.
