Business Analyst Role
The role of a Business Analyst involves collaboration with functional teams to deliver digital solutions that align with the needs of clients. This position requires expertise in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring successful implementation of agile methodologies and IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitating Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) to support collaboration and efficient delivery.
* Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements through stakeholder engagement and workshops.
* Translating requirements into prioritized user stories and managing a structured product backlog.
* Acting as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clarity and alignment on deliverables.
* Configuring systems based on user needs and coordinating customizations with development teams.
* Supporting sprint planning, reviews, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business goals.
* Identifying process improvement opportunities and maintaining clear documentation for project teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (master's and certifications like CBAP/CSPO are a plus).
* 6+ years of experience as a business analyst, ideally on scale projects for European institutions or the public sector.
* Strong skills in Agile methodologies, business process modeling (BPMN), and tools like ARIS and Camunda.
* Proficiency in gathering and translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
* Familiarity with BDD, story mapping, personas, Gherkin syntax, and user testing coordination.
* Fluency in English and Portuguese, with strong communication and analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong ability to adapt quickly to complex business environments and a fast learner.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous communication tools such as Apache Kafka is an asset.
