Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & CalculationIndependently calculate costs and performance metrics for funding projectsAnalyze planned values and reconcile them with eligible costs and funding plansDetermine cost components such as hourly rates for claiming personnel costExtract and validate data from systems (, SAP, Excel) and coordinate with relevant departments
2. Application & CompliancePrepare and submit application documents for R&D funded projectsEnsure compliance with funding guidelines and internal approval processesHandle audits and prepare final reports
3. Project Tracking and ReportingRegularly update calculations and analyze deviationsProperly document all funding-related project informationPrepare regular internal as well as external reporting while keeping track of all relevant deadlines
4. Stakeholder CoordinationAlign with internal departments, Controlling colleagues, and funding authorities throughout all phases of the projects ( from proposal to post completion audits)Act as funding project administrator by coordinating all necessary funding related workstreams
5. Global R&D FundingBuild up transparency of all relevant R&D funding schemes (incl. tax incentives) used in the global R&D organization across locationsSupport in standardizing documentation approaches ( time tracking)
6. Non funding-related Controlling tasksSupport the global R&D Controlling team with location specific Controlling tasks
Qualifications
7. Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
8. Excellent communication and coordination abilities
9. Experience with the administration of public funded projects desired
10. Passion for analytical analysis and calculations
11. Strong curiosity and motivation to learn and work independently
12. Proficiency in SAP and Excel
13. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
14. Independent & self-organized working style
15. High quality focus and customer orientation
16. Motivated team-player, who loves to work in an international environment
17. Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
18. Portuguese languages skills written and spoken are a plus
