Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities. In four years, it has expanded to over 400 employees across three locations: Lisbon, Tomar, and Guarda. The scope has extended beyond European affiliates to include entities in Africa, Middle East, and India, and now encompasses not only Finance but also Human Resources.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Responsible for completing the payroll run and all subsequent activities, including payroll validation, salary disbursement, payroll posting to Finance, and statutory submissions, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and governance.
Note: This position is open for three locations: Lisboa, Tomar, and Guarda.
1. Prepares and monitors payroll data to ensure processes and data are in place for local country requirements and regulations.
2. Performs payroll runs according to local requirements.
3. Handles start and end of year payroll administration activities in collaboration with third parties.
4. Manages and maintains payroll processes.
5. Responds to requests for changes to payroll data.
6. Monitors data quality related to rewards, performance, time, and attendance, and manages payroll impacts.
7. Administers disbursements, statutory collections, filings, and reporting.
8. Supports audits and regulatory requests regarding payroll data.
9. Administers employee compensation activities such as bonuses and annual pay reviews.
10. Implements legislative changes impacting payroll and time administration.
11. Collaborates with third-party providers to resolve payroll queries.
Are you a MATCH?
* Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
* Experience as an HR administrative assistant, preferably in a shared services environment.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to ask relevant questions, understand issues, and escalate when necessary.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow up on projects.
* Confidentiality and sensitivity in handling data.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with HR systems and tools.
* High commitment and responsibility.
* Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German are valued.
