Android Native Software Development Specialist
We are seeking an expert Android Native Software Development Specialist to strengthen our team and help us deliver high-quality, reliable, fast, scalable and responsive software solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in native Android development with Java and Kotlin languages, as well as a solid understanding of modern mobile app architectures (MVC, MVP, MVVM), Gradle & Maven dependencies, Unit Testing (Espresso, Roboelectric, Mockito or similar) and Instrumentation testing (JUnit). They will also be familiar with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services, code versioning tools (GIT) and CI/CD processes/tools.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
o Maintain and improve different mobile applications within the company scope.
o Ability to code following different architectural design patterns.
o Writing testable code and ensuring the test coverage stays at the agreed level.
o Be committed and contribute to maintain and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
o Show a constant interest in learning new things and try proof of concepts towards improving the products and technology strategy inside the company.
* Requirements:
o Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, computer electronics or a related field.
o Proven experience (5+ years) working as a native Android developer with Java and Kotlin languages.
o Solid understanding of modern mobile app architectures (MVC, MVP, MVVM), Gradle & Maven dependencies, Unit Testing (Espresso, Roboelectric, Mockito or similar) and Instrumentation testing (JUnit).
o Proven MAD (Modern Android Development) skills are strongly appreciated: Jetpack framework (Compose, Room, etc.), Dependency Injection (Dagger 2 & Hilt), Retrofit, Kotlin Coroutines and Flows.
o Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services, code versioning tools (GIT) and CI/CD processes/tools.
o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile-minded environment.
o Strong attention to detail, good sense of UI design and a user-oriented focus are highly appreciated.
o A self-driven and proactive attitude, with a passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
o Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.
o The candidate should be fluent in English, ability to speak German is a plus.
