Role Description
The experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, managing and securing our enterprise network infrastructure. This role ensures the high availability, performance, scalability, and security of enterprise network systems, while providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with complex network environments and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN)
* Configure, monitor, and support IP Networks using MPLS, AVPN, and IPSEC.
* Working knowledge of Cisco IOS, and Fortinet IOS is required.
* Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
* Design, implement, and support SD-WAN solutions to optimize application performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency across global locations.
* Manage policy-based routing, traffic prioritization, and failover mechanisms to ensure reliable connectivity for business-critical applications.
* Evaluate SD-WAN performance metrics and recommend improvements or architectural changes.
* Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
* Administer and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and web/email filtering systems
* Serve as a technical authority for network architecture, establishing standards, best practices, and design guidelines for enterprise networking.
* Review and approve network designs and configuration changes to ensure consistency, scalability, and security across the organization.
* Document and maintain current-state and future-state network architecture diagrams and standards.
* Support compliance and monitoring tools related to network and host-based security.
* Implement and enforce network security best practices, including firewall rules, intrusion detection/prevention, and access controls.
* Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and procedures.
* Collaborate with systems, security, cloud, and application teams to support business initiatives.
* Provide support and act as an escalation point for critical incidents.
* Mentor and guide junior network administrators and engineers.
* Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend improvements.
* Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
* May require on-call support or off-hours work during maintenance windows or critical incidents.
* Act as the primary technical liaison with network vendors, service providers, and telecommunications partners.
* Coordinate with ISPs and carriers to manage circuit provisioning, outages, performance issues, and service escalations.
* Evaluate vendor solutions, contracts, and service offerings, providing technical input to support cost optimization and service quality
* Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics and Computing Engineering or a related field
* 7+ years of experience in network administration or network engineering roles.
* Strong expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and network segmentation.
* Hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet).
* Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
* Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex technical projects.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end users, peers, leadership, and external partners
* Experience working in a global company or multi-region environment
* Fluency in spoken and written English is required
Preferred Qualifications
* Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent.
* Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Knowledge of automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
* Experience in high-availability, multi-site, or global network environments.
* Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
* Familiar with Fortinet Tools (FortiManager, FotiAnalyzer, FortiGate, FortiSIEM)
