As part of the organization's Global Business Services (GBS), the Lisbon hub plays a key role in supporting several European markets and ensuring high‐quality financial processes across the region.To support the Accounts Payable activities for the DACH region, the company is currently looking for anAccounts Payable Accountant - German Speaker (m/f/d)to join a growing and collaborative international team.Your New Role As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will provide essential support to AP operations, acting as a backup for the German entities and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and related financial tasks. Your responsibilities will include: Processing Accounts Payable tasks for several European entities; Receipt, review and audit of invoices; Entering, checking and posting invoices with and without Purchase Order (PO); Managing accruals and performing account reconciliations; Verifying invoice validation results in the VIM tool and proceeding according to workflow; Liaising with requesters for goods receipt confirmation when required; Handling discrepancies and routing invoices for approval as needed; Supporting payment run activities when required; Ensuring correct application of accounting standards and internal controls; Maintaining vendor accounts and ensuring accuracy of postings; Participating in process optimization and improvement initiatives; Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Europe and supporting project‐related activities.What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field. 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance & Accounting; Experience in GBS/Shared Service environments (highly valued); Solid knowledge of accounting principles and cost/performance accounting; Strong understanding of end‐to‐end AP processes; Background in Accounting is essential — ability to interpret validations, identify errors and ensure compliant postings. Experience in SAP S/4HANA (mandatory) German and English fluency (mandatory).Other European languages are a strong advantage.
