Role: Senior Functional Data Architect
Location: Hybrid, Lisbon, Portugal
Required skills:
Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Masters preferred)
5+ years in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data management, ideally within complex multinational organizations.
Proven experience with enterprise data modeling, data platform architecture, and governance frameworks.
Hands-on expertise with MDM, data warehouses, and data lakehouse architectures (e.G., Medallion architecture).
Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata tools (Collibra, Alation, etc.).
Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0, SQL, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Understanding of data quality frameworks, privacy and compliance standards, and data lifecycle management.
Excellent communication skills able to bridge technical and business discussions across global teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience in analytics and AI-driven data environments.
Working knowledge of data risk management and access control models.
Exposure to semantic data modeling, ontology management, or data marketplaces.
Certification in data architecture or data governance (e.G., DAMA, TOGAF, CDMP) is a plus.
