Experienced General Ledger Manager to lead the development of a new GL team in a multinational company building a new Regional Shared Service Centre.


About Our Client

Our client is a large organization in the Automotive industry, with a global presence, preparing for the implementation of a new Regional Shared Service Centre.


Job Description

1. Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure efficient workflow and achievement of deadlines.
2. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
3. Monitor and resolve discrepancies or variances in the general ledger.
4. Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for timely and accurate financial reporting.
5. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
7. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
8. Collaborate effectively with the HQ Accounting team and regional accounting teams.
9. Ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of processes.
10. Drive improvements in financial processes.
11. Work effectively in a matrix environment.


The Successful Candidate

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
2. 7+ years of professional experience in Accounting, including general ledger management.
3. Fluent in English and Spanish.
4. Leadership skills with a performance-oriented mindset, good communication, and assertiveness.
5. Experience with international financial standards or working for a central SSC is advantageous.
6. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards.
7. Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn.
8. Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
9. Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships.
11. High motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm.
12. Team player with cultural sensitivity.
