CLIP – The Oporto International School, accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), was established in 1990 and has approximately 1200 students, aged 3 to 18, from over 50 countries. All students have an education that upholds the highest academic standards within a globally minded learning culture. CLIP follows an adapted version of the National Curriculum for England, building strong foundations in core subjects before moving on to Cambridge International programmes and qualifications, including IGCSE and A-Level/AICE Diploma. The curriculum emphasises STEM, humanities, languages, and the arts, fostering independent learning and critical thinking. Digital tools are integrated across disciplines, highlighting CLIP’s commitment to digital literacy.

For the academic year 2026-2027, we are recruiting a qualified Middle and Upper School Performing Arts teacher.
Requirements
• Applicants should hold a university degree in Performing Arts/Drama/Music and recognised teaching qualification (PGCE).
• Applicants should possess a valid European Union passport or work permit allowing them to work in Portugal.
• Be fluent in English.
• Be energetic, creative and engaging, and enjoy working with students.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons across middle and upper school in line with school curriculum.
• Support and teach Cambridge IGCSE Drama 0411 and/or Music 0410 & Music 9483 curriculum.
• Direct and coach student performances/school plays.
• Work as part of a team and contribute to school events/celebrations.
• Contribute to enriching the Performing Arts curriculum.
• Engage actively in ongoing professional development and training.
• Commit to safeguarding and child protection practices.
