We are in constant transformation and looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and flexible Securities Settlements Analyst to join our Custody team in Lisbon.
What does the Operations area do?
It provides service excellence in operations focusing on client needs. We do this by ensuring best practices of execution on services related to Funds, Cash/Securities Management and Settlements, Payments, Reconciliation, and Control of Credit Operational Business, as well as Account Maintenance documentation.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Book and monitor of security transactions against payment to ensure the timely settlements;
- Monitoring of cancellations and corrections of transactions;
- Systematic chasing of pending trades, overdue settlements and reconciliation differences (cash and securities) and handling of broker enquiries;
- Transfer client positions free of payment (incoming and outgoing);
- Check and repair rejected SWIFT instructions;
- Cash management of custodian balances.
What are we looking for?
- Availability to work night shift and/or rotative schedule;
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience in settlement of equities and debt securities;
- Basic experience in Security and Counterparty Masterfile, reconciliation and Investigation;
- Knowledge of settlement operations and trade processing of equities and debt securities in all markets;
- Knowledge of financial products and their settlement processes;
- Good foundation in reconciliation of trade-processing and security-transfers;
- Knowledge and ability to analyse all business-related SWIFT-formats (MT54x);
- Knowledge of Excel and Access;
- Fluency in English.
