Your mission, roles and responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement of automation systems within our automotive manufacturing plant. Your mission is to enhance production processes by implementing automation solutions that increase productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize costs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the digital transformation of the plant, ensuring compliance with Industry 4.0 standards and maintaining high-quality production standards.
1. Develop, program, and optimize industrial automation and robotic systems.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot failures in automated production lines.
3. Implement process automation improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
4. Define technical specifications and support the integration of new automation equipment.
5. Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of PLC-controlled systems.
6. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
7. Support the integration of Industry 4.0 solutions, including data collection, predictive maintenance, and smart manufacturing systems.
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in an automotive production environment.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level
9. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field
Professional Experience
10. Minimum 2 years of experience in automation, preferably in an industrial or automotive environment
Skills and competencies
11. Strong experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, etc.);
12. Knowledge of robotics, industrial networks, and sensor-based automation;
13. Experience with SCADA and HMI systems (preferred);
14. Knowledge of MES – Manufacturing Execution System;
15. Intermediate proficiency in English (oral and written);
16. Good computer skills (user-level);
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
18. Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive production environment;
19. Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
