We are seeking a results-driven leader to manage our Sao Tome Agency.
This role is crucial in representing the interests of the Carrier, promoting our image, and ensuring the successful execution of sales and customer service strategies within the scope.
The General Manager will report directly to the Cluster General Manager and serve as the local point of contact for Cluster and Regional Office Functional Managers.
Key Responsibilities
* CMA CGM Brand promotion and development.
* Financial Management: Prepare and execute financial forecasts in collaboration with the Cluster CFO.
* Business Development: Monitor the market for new opportunities and develop direct relationships with key customers.
* Sales Leadership: Managing and controlling Sales & Operation activities, define and monitor performance targets to achieve strategic objectives.
* Customer centricity: Ensure a quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests, focusing on customer satisfaction.
* Reporting & KPI follow up: Gather regional market information, analyze and generate reports including Monthly commercial and all KPI reports.
* Team Management: Oversee the local workforce, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and Group policies.
* Internal Control & Compliance: Implement internal audit recommendations and report any suspected fraud to management and relevant authorities.
* Government and Institutional Liaison: Represent the Group with local authorities and government bodies as required.
Requirements
* A master's degree in Transport & Logistics, Marketing, business administration or management.
* At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role, shipping – logistics sector.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Proven experience in commercial management and business development.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Comprehensive understanding of financial and operational processes.
* Accurate and analytical skills.
