Thank you.The Role:We are seeking a Senior Associate Designer Signage & Wayfinding to join our Lisbon team.
This position leads the creative and technical development of signage and wayfinding systems for high-profile architectural, interior, and urban projects across hospitality, mixed-use, transport, cultural, and corporate sectors.
The role combines conceptual creativity, technical precision, and project leadership ensuring solutions are functional, compliant, and visually aligned with architectural intent and brand identity.Responsibilities:Lead the development of signage and wayfinding strategies from concept through implementation.Design comprehensive systems that enhance navigation, accessibility, and overall user experience.Produce detailed design packages, including message schedules, sign location plans, typography, materials, and fabrication details.Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and branding teams to integrate signage seamlessly within project design.Ensure compliance with accessibility codes, safety regulations, and local authority standards.Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining design quality, timelines, and budgets.Act as the main client contact, presenting and defending design proposals to stakeholders.Liaise with fabricators, review shop drawings and samples, and oversee installation to maintain design integrity.Mentor junior designers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team on new trends, materials, and wayfinding innovations.Who we're seeking:Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or related field.Minimum 8 years' experience in signage & wayfinding design, including leadership of complex, multi-stakeholder projects.Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative and technical capabilities in environmental graphics.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD/Revit; 3D software (SketchUp, Rhino) is an advantage.Solid understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and installation processes.Knowledge of accessibility codes (DDA/ADA) and planning regulations.Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.If you're an experienced Senior Designer with Signage & Wayfinding experience who wants to work on exciting, large-scale international projects with a high-performing, collaborative team, we encourage you to apply today!
