Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

About the Role
Are you a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician with a strong foundation in process control systems, instrument calibration, and industrial maintenance?
We are looking for an E&I Technician to join a high-performing team in the Netherlands, supporting leading factories and processing plants. You\'ll be responsible for maintaining world-class operational standards across electrical, pneumatic, and digital systems, making sure sensors, actuators, and PLCs perform flawlessly.
This is a great opportunity for a technician with both electrical and instrumentation experience and a desire to work with advanced systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. You would be working for one of the biggest contractors in the Netherlands, like LyondellBasell, Exxon Mobil, Shell, Neste and others.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical and instrumentation systems
* Diagnose and repair faults in sensors, actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, digital), and process equipment
* Work with DCS/PLC systems, motor controls, and E-distributors
* Calibrate and adjust process control instruments
* Interpret and follow wiring diagrams and technical drawings
* Support system upgrades, testing, and new installations alongside engineering teams
* Record all work in SAP systems and write accurate maintenance documentation
* Follow all safety and quality procedures on-site
Requirements
* 3-4 years of hands-on experience in an industrial E&I technician role
* Strong knowledge of instrument calibration, PLC systems, and process control
* Proficient in reading schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
* Trade-tested with formal certification in Instrumentation (NQF Level 4 or equivalent)
* Familiarity with industrial maintenance tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calibration equipment
* Experience using SAP, Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Valid driver’s license
* Experience working in chemical, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or energy sectors (big plus)
We Offer
* 1-2 year contract (40 hours/week) with the possibility of permanent employment.
* Monthly gross salary: 3.200,00 - 4.200,00 (based on experience and education).
* Holiday allowance of 8.33%, paid annually in May.
