Project Commissioning Manager
Leading global commissioning managers are sought after for a high-profile project in Portugal. The ideal candidate will oversee commissioning-related tasks, ensure compliance with work scope, and monitor the delivery of project objectives.
* Supervision of commissioning related tasks for electrical and mechanical vendors.
* Ensure compliance with work scope.
* Monitor delivery of project objectives.
* Communication of deadlines and project milestones.
* Supervision and reporting on project progress.
* Supervision of and possible attendance for electrical vendor factory acceptance tests and witness testing.
* Organize and attend daily/weekly commissioning meetings internally and with vendors.
* Form and update weekly commissioning vendor progress reports for submission to management.
* Coordinate with project quality assurance and control departments to achieve common goals.
* Coordinate with project accounting departments to achieve common goals.
* Track and obtain approval on relevant project documents such as test scripts and compliance statements.
* Witness all vendor commissioning activities against approved project documentation.
* Track receipt, review, and compliance of project commissioning documents to achieve necessary sign off.
* Conduct commissioning tagging processes and procedures.
* Conduct day-to-day on-site commissioning operations.
Requirements
Relevant certificates in electrical engineering or building services engineering or an electrical trade with relevant training and experience.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role within a construction environment with experience in commercial, industrial, pharma, data centre type projects is desirable.
* Experience of working on LV/MV or HV systems with commissioning experience.
* Electrical testing and verification with a minimum 3 years' experience.
* Construction experience/understanding required with safety experience.
* Solves problems analytically and acts decisively.
* Process-driven candidate with a focus on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes is desirable.
