Job role function (mission)
Integrated into the PSA Sines Information Technology Department, this role requires a proactive professional committed to developing and leveraging their technological capabilities. Responsibilities include ensuring the security of critical information, systems, and assets, as well as designing solutions and implementing new software and hardware platforms.
Supervise, maintain, upgrade, and manage software and hardware across multiple operating systems and platforms.
Provide system administration technical support for Terminal Operating System (TOS) and automation projects.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at both regional and global levels.
Work closely with regional and global IT teams to resolve incidents and problems efficiently.
Ensure that all TOS and Automation changes comply with cybersecurity, IT, and OT standards, and are properly documented.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with other departments to improve existing processes.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives as part of the transformation roadmap, including the adoption of RPA for monitoring and proactive problem‑solving.
Principais Responsabilidades
Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
Monitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including backups
Interact with local, regional, and global stakeholders to stablish best practices and standards across other terminals.
Proactively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement based on terminal expansion and transformational technologies and propose improvement activities.
Use standard enterprise tools to log, track, and close activities (support and projects).
Work on proactive monitoring RPA-based systems to anticipate application issues.
Work closely to Automation team on new equipment acquisition and networking integration to existing solution setup.
Interact with internal teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
Perfil Pretendido
Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science and/or proven years developing similar functions.
3+ years in System Administration
Experience with or knowledge of operating systems (different blends from windows to non-windows); current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, Microsoft Active Directory and domain services, virtualization, in contribution to TOS and Automation environments.
Experience in Virtualized environments (specially VMWare).
Experience in managing corporative storage systems and storage replication.
Expertise in creating, analysing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems.
Knowledge of Database Administration (SQL Server/DB2).
Clustering and high availability configurations and services related to SysAdmin scope.
Good problem-solving, analysis capability and investigation mindset.
Ability on managing third party suppliers (managed services).
Strategic thinking and capability of operationalizing daily basis tasks and hands-on approach.
