Descrição We are recruiting directly for a prestigious client in the industrial sector, for the position of Finance & Accounting Officer, based in the Setúbal.Key Responsibilities:Ensure full compliance with Portuguese accounting, tax, and social security regulations;Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;Manage timely payroll submissions and statutory declarations;Maintain accounting records in accordance with the Portuguese Accounting Standards (SNC);Communicate effectively with the Certified Accountant and Group Financial Controller (UK).Support the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance;Coordinate the monthly payroll process, including collection of Time & Attendance data for submission to the external payroll provider;Support invoice processing and Accounts Payable (AP) activities across the Group, including reconciliations and reporting;Assist in preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns and annual filings (IES, Modelo 22);Support the Group's Credit Control process, including issuing customer statements and following up on outstanding payments;Ensure proper document retention and financial record keeping;Manage the finance email inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of queries;Support internal and external audits, as well as any other tasks that contribute to the efficient running of the finance department.Qualifications:Solid understanding of Portuguese accounting and tax principles;Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken);Experience with ERP or accounting systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;Previous experience in a finance or accounting role preferred;Ability to work effectively within an international team.Offer:Salary in line with the experience and qualifications demonstrated;Integration into an innovative and dynamic business environment;Access to the company's existing rewards and benefits package.WE SAY HELLO TO EVERYONE!
